Default 71 Mustang vin

I have a 71 mustang and was wondering if the vin number is stamped somewhere other than on the dash and door?

The VIN number should alson be on a tag on the top of the dash on the drivers side. You can see it by lookin through the windshield from the outside. Its kinda hard to see but it should be there.

With respect to the VIN... You'll find it on a sticker on the drivers door, on the vin tag attached to the dash pads' metal frame in the lower drivers side corner , you'll find it on the "buck " tag which is a small metal tag attached to the front of the radiator core support on the drivers' side and you'll find it stamped on the drivers side inner fender ( possibly the passenger side as well) . The inner fender stampings are just at the line where the fenders' inner lip meets the inner fender or "apron". You'll have to have the hood up to see them. You'll also find the VIN on the engine, trans and rear end. I wouldn't get my hopes up on finding a build sheet but if you do that's a real bonus ! Good luck, Dean
