If I were you , I would ask this guy some of the same question that the members of this forum have asked. Tell him you are not trying to be rude, but you are researching the car and things are not adding up. Either way, if you do bid on it, I do not think I would put any money onthe table until you have infact seen, driven and had the car INSTPECTED BY A PRO.

Same as GTA said. That sounds like a much better number. Did he say where he found the number. (if you know the codes, you can "make up" a number to match the car), Although it ending in three zeros would tend to possibly be less "made up"

i would never buy a car of ebay. not unless i had SEEN the car first hand or i had a reliable source that could look at the car for me.

i was thinking the last numbers all ending with zeros seemed a little weird, i havent seen any vins like that...i still say use caution man id hate to see you get ripped off[:@]

so its a 68 coupe engine size 302 not 289 what else does that mean
