first time buyer
For the record, the HiPo 289 should have a dual-points distributor with only a centrifugal advance, NOT a vacuum advance as is clearly seen in the eBay photo. I'm afraid this guy is not being honest, and I would walk away before you get burned. One final note, I HAVE purchased a car off eBay, a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T SE. I flew out to Texas to inspect it before any money changed hands, but it was all I expected and more. Since buying it last spring, I've done lots to it, and have been rewarded with 5 trophies at local car shows.
As for my 66 Mustang Convertible, I'm turning it into a GT, the disc brakes finally arrived today. I'm also converting the engine to a true HiPo, and have the camshaft and solid lifters on order as well as the correct repo distributor. One thing I cannot find is a HiPo harmonic balancer. Anyone know where I can get one of these?
