my rust has a mustang problem

That's one hell of a pill to swallow. Either that mustang belonged to your dad or you're crazy. Good luck. Only God can bring that one back!

I'm just stupid, lol. Most of the hard work is done now, just need to remove the driver side wheel housing and sandblast. After that i just have to fabricate most of the frame, replace one front frame rail and repair the other. Then set up the 4-link system and she might be able to roll around again after that. I'll paint it at school this summer and maybe get it running in the fall.
Thanks for all the comments, helps to give me ambition to keep working on it.

Looks like you are attacking the right spots first. That cowl must have taken you a long time to drill out. I assume you drilled out the spot welds because of the drill in the pic. Keep us posted. Most of us have "been there, done that" so we are definitely pulling for you.

it was too easy to just pull the dash at this point and it will be much easier to clean that way.
i am also thinking about taking out the firewall as im replacing the frame rails. first, i think ill have to start some of my custom fabbed frame to brace the rockers though.
i also included the picture of what ill be doing for all of the strengthening from the firewall back. its probably going to be heavier than stock but the stiffness of the chassis will make up for it.
i cant believe im actually this deep into the car, its still fun though.
