if you plan on keeping the engine in your garage i reccomend you dont leave it on an engine stand, believe it or not leaving it on those things can flex the block considerably, wouldnt want to ruin your new engine. I know the nascar guys dont use motor mounts because of how much it flexes the block. youd be surprised how much those things can move, now thats making 800 horse, but non the less, you see what im gettin at. Try makin somethin out of wood to set your motor on while you wait, my dads engine came home in somethin like that, rapped in plastic.

How are you going to install it in the car without a hoist?

If you are paying someone to finish it off and install it...why not take it direct to them and have them lift it out and store it?

hey you can probly park under a tree and rig up some sort of pulley system. I was just wondering how much free time you get in the army. I just signed up for the marines and got into combat vehicle repair. I was a little worried i wouldnt be able to work on my baby any more.
