Default Head swap

I am rebuilding a 1965 289. I have a 1988 302 with brand new heads. Can anyone tell me if I can swap the 289 & 302 heads ?
I dont know if it matters but I thought the 88 was fuel injected but this engine has an edlebrock 600 carb on it.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Might want to check combustion chamber size. 289s had much smaller chambers than late model heads. This will drop your compression somewhat
