I just bought a 99 gt vert last week. The guy I bought it from used what looks like armor all or some other silicone based product. It raind the other day and washed all that crap down the sides of the car and on the windows. So the whole car is all greasy and streaky. I have what I need to clean the car (I work part time at a body shop and we have degreasers and wax strippes for removing silicone from paint)but what should I use to clean the top that wont cause damage?

 

I use 303 Convertible Top Cleaner and 303 High Tech Fabric Guard.

EDIT: If you live near a large body of water, boating supply stores carry some 303 products.

 

I've been using Ragg Topp this past year on both my top and on my wifes "bra"/nose mask. Very pleased with the results. 303 is excellent as well, use that on my dashes.

 

+1 on the Ragg Topp. I've heard that 303 is good but I haven't used it. Ragg Topp has done an excellent job for me.

I found the 303 cleaner and protectant at murray's auto parts in metro detroit. Not sure if they will have it at other locations. It works really well, I was really suprised at how my top looked after I applied the protectant..It looked almost new..
