Default 89 Top Problem

So I just purchased a 89 Mustang LX Vert and I immidiatly wanted to put the to down and jam some Hotel California. Only thing is when I tested the top it went down smooth but wouldn't go back up. I did the basic and swapped relays....nothing. Bought new relays...also nothing. So next would be to check the lube/oil for the top motor. Only problem is im not sure how to check it,what kind of lube, and how to bleed it. After I do that and still no result then I would replace the motor.

Thanks

texas soldier,

Here is a link on that subject already discussed: mustangforums.com/forum/...tech/576528-top-engine-dead.html

Or, go to the top right of the page and type into the search: "adding hydraulic fluid"

or, "convertible top motor".

There's alot already been posted.
