So I put my top down today and I about snapped my forearm to pull the latch by windshield driver side being worse than passenger I've lowered top about a dozen or so times this year never had this problem ? It's an 03 gt can I wd40 the spring behind latch do they sell special grease?

 

Grease will just collect dirt. Try some penetrating oil and see if that helps.

 

So I took a closer look the chrome "nipple"that goes into the vehicle itself was loos prolly
4-5 turns passenger side one was tight? What would cause that anyclue?
