Default Painting Rims?

Yes/no? Ricey? A buddy of mine painted the wheels of his SN95 gt vert flat black and it contrasts surprisingly well with the car's black bodywork. Now, he just used spraypaint (somewhat of a rat-rod), but what would some of you more knowlegable folk suggest if one were to undertake this? OR is it a bad idea?

To me, It depends on :

A. Type of Rim

B. Color painted

C. Quality of the job

Serious rice! Cosidered powder coating? Costs a few $ but looks great!

i agree completely. You should really look into getting them powdercoated though. It has a much more durable finish. The black bullits with the polished lip look good on a few different color cars, then there is a guy around here that powdercoated his rims on his 2000(i think) gt white to match his car and i think that they look pretty good. Just like Raven_pbr said, its all about the rims, the color of the rim/car, and how well they are done.
