I got a set of 17X9 cobra R rims yesterday with 245 45 17 tires. I was amazed at the difference in handling, i bought the rims mostly for looks.

Help me out guys, I just bought a set of BBK Speedware 17X9 Cobra R replicas. Not the 2000 style that are pictured in NOS/MAN's avatar, but the older 97 cobra R style.

I have a 93 LX notchback 5.0. I know these rims will fit, but with what tires? I've read that Notch's don't have the clearance in the rear that the hatches do. What is the widest I can go in the back? And, 245's will definitely fit in the front? Tire place by me told me that 235's were the absolute widest that could go upfront. I know that som' bitch is making that up, but i just want to be sure.

The manager from this same place once told me 275's would go in the back with those rims, but this other employee is contesting that 255's are the widest. I need some advice dudes. Thanks
