I was looking at my directionals and noticed the orange looked to be an insert. I wish to remove the orange and put in an orange bulb, and eventually hook up some LED's instead.

Can I remove the orange piece?

I have a 1989 Mustang.

I would rather remove that from mine because of money and new clear one's will not match my faded ones. I am going to buff them out but it still would not match.

There was a tutorial I thought somewhere, but it sounded like a pain..... you had to cut apart the lens and remove the reflector if I remember right, definetly not something I would want to do, plus it would probably leak or get fogged up if it was not sealed up perfectly again.
