Need Help! URGENT!!!
ok it's official i'm an idiot...but i need some serious help you guys. Too make a long story short i was cleaning my Mustang's convertible top and like an idiot i used the wrong bottle and sprayed Tilex on the top, it dripped down onto my doors and left whitish streaks on the doors, they're hard to see unless you're up close but i really wanna know how to get rid of them. Any suggestions?!?! I'm desperate.

I wouldn't be too concerned - I think you just need to do a simple 2 or 3 step polish and then wax of the paint. Use the Meguires 3 step process and you should be fine.
Lesson to be learned here - always store your car care chemicals in their own cabinet, and away from the other household chemicals

I just looked at a bottle of tilex I use to see what's the active ingredient...in simple terms is bleach...as with any bleach-based product, as long as you don't expose metal to it for a long time, you should be OK. For what you stated, seems like you took care of the problem immediately, soooooo you should be ok. If anything, you probably just struipped whatever wax you had on the vehicle..just clean, clay area and re-wax...that's what I would do. Let us know how it turns out...
thanks you guys. I just wanted to mention as soon as i noticed these streaks last night I immediately drove to the carwash and gave my Stang the scrubbing of its life. And if wax is the solution do you guys recommend Meguiars or will Turtle wax work? Also do you guys think spray on polish or Armor All Armor Plate Paint Protectant (spray on) would help?
I use Meguirs NXT and I think is a great product. I have not used any spray on or Armor All products, so I can't sepak as to their effectiveness. But again, I think you have taken care of the problem.
