McGuires Back to Black and a toothbrush works, too.....

just make sure it's an extra toothbrush!

A white eraser will remove the residue. Then follow up with some Poorboy's Trim Restorer. Also, before you wax, apply Trim Restorer to the trim and it will keep the wax from staining if you accidentally wipe over the trim again.
