repaint

Default repaint

i have a 2000 GT and the front fascia has a lot of chips in it and i want to repaint it. i have axcess to facilities to paint it myself but how hard is it to get the front fascia off?

A pain in the butt, but it's completely do-able. If I remember correctly, there are 2 nuts inside the top-sides of the bumper, plus a number of small clips or bolts along the bottom, but the real bear is that it has these slide-lock sort of things molded in the plastic along the top- under the headlights. They clip into the headlight mounting bracket, and you almost have to use a winch to get some of them to pop out. I think that you can pull out the headlights and get to the pry the lock parts free with a screwdriver. I think.
