grit in the bumper, help
my car has all this dirt on the rear bumper. You really can't see it, but you can feel it if you run your hand across it. I've washed it over and over. I've never used a clay bar before, but do you think it will help this? If not, other ideas?
yes. this is exactly what a clay bar is made to do. it pulls out all of the contaminants that are stuck in your clear coat. it will make it feel like glass after you are done using it. but make sure you polish and wax it again after you clay bar it.
clay bar is exactly what you need
theres a ton of write ups in this section on how to use one, just do a quick search
if for some reason you cant find anything then just PM me and ill be more than happy to help you out

Use a Clay bar. Once you use the clay bar, Get some POLISH! Polish is a super fine abrasive mean to level out the imperfections in the clear coar. Wax fills them up, but polish knocks them down.
Id use the clay bar and if it is still rough, grab some medium machine polish. If its only slightly rough, try a FINE machine polish or a hand polish. Orbital buffer and a foam pad work very well. If you use a machine polish, becareful not to burn into the paint. You will love the results of polishing your car. When you polish it, and THEN wax it, youll be amazed.
