Just some area's don't have emissions testing currently. Its not the state so much as the county or city you live in. If you don't have to get a sticker saying you passed emissions than you can pretty much do whatever you want. Its one of those things that you aren't supposed to take off but in alot of places there are no penalties or enforcers

ok then, in sc where i live i don't have to get inspected so therefore i don't need them, so what if i'm driving in nc (a state that requires inspections), am i still ok?
