Making "Parchment" Interior look good
Hey there,
I have an 07 GT Deluxe. I purchased it used with around 3k miles a while back. The only thing I disliked about the car was the medium parchment tan colored interior. I'd always dreamt of my Mustang having black leather with the chrome upgrades - I had test drove [a v6 actually] with that color combo, and I fell in love with that. So, now I have bright tan cloth with a bunch of now darkened and slightly grubby looking ponies on the seats - despite the fact I take excellent care of the car and never get into it when my clothes are dirty, etc... It's just a really really bad cloth and color for stains.
My interior is exactly like this:

Don't get me wrong, my interior is still in prestine condition, but it has a few darker spots that have been caused by simply sitting on it. Because I'm so **** about it, I always sit on towels now.
I'd be much more satisfied if I had the leather version - http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/show...005/1114-4.jpg- Because at least you could wipe it down.
I've thought about buying takeoff leather from newtakeoff.com or something, but that seems like a lot of $$$. http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/time...101_resize.jpgthe GT/CS interior is pretty sweet actually, I'd take that in a heartbeat, but I cant find any take-off leather from any cars like that.
I'm going to put aftermarket "GT" black floormats in sometime soon. That will help get more black into the car and those will be easier to keep clean.
Other than that, is there any suggestions you have for making my seats look better? All the seat covers i've seen are either A) ridiculous looking B) too expensive or C) too loose.
Anyone else have parchment cloth with the same issue? Whats the best product to use for cleaning our interiors?
Thanks!
