Default Rain-X?

Rain-X or no Rain-X. What do yall think... i like the rain x on my back and side windows... but sometimes it makes my windsheild wipers rattle... anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to strip rain-x off your window?

I think the wiper rattle may be a combination of things, including the condition of the glass, but if it does it with new blades (not just refills), then maybe you might opt-out.

You might also try a light application of a trim dressing on the blades.

But overall, I like Rain-X and have used it for years and years during the rainy season.

As for removing it, it wears off eventually, of course, but some isopropyl alcohol should take care of it.

you can clay the rain X off. i dont even use rain x anymore, i switched to optimum opti-seal - it lasts WAY longer and reples so much better. also, it doesnt interfear with the blades at all

your wipers rattle might be because of the condition of them or if you ever put any wax on the glass that could cause it

Rain X turns into a streaky/oily looking mess after it's been on the windshield for a while. I had to use a claybar on my windshield to clean it off.

Bill, is that one of Juzstang's products? Is it for paint and windows? Might have to try it out.

Yeah Bill is using the Optimum Opti Seal. It is a wipe on and walk away sealant. You can do a vehicle in about 10 minutes or less with it, plus it takes less than an ounce to do a whole vehicle. You can put Opti Seal on glass, plastic, paint, and wheels. This is an awesome product that I use everyday in my detailing business.
