Default hmm

I live in upstate new york. before winter i had my car at the bodyshop to get a dent taken out. while it was there i had them buff the whole car out for me, but they don't wax at their shop for some reason so my car has been sitting in a portable garage all winter long without a coat of wax. I took it out today because the weather was nice and it was quite dusty and the neighbors cat felt it was necessary to walk from one end of the car to the next. maybe it's time to sight in the 44 mag? anyway, am i going to need the car buffed again before i wax it this spring? i don't think the little turd put any scratcheson my car but just for the fact that the cars been sitting without a coat of wax. any ideas?

just wash the car, if you see any light scratches then take care of it with some polish and then put wax.

Should polish be applied to the whole vehical, or is it just for scratches? I've only used wax on cars, never played with anything else. Also, can paint be removed from excessive buffing? I have an 03 conv gt and on one of the body lines of the hood there is a 2 inch white line alone the crease. Maybe the guy held the buffer on that section of the hooda little longer then he should have. I've never noticed this before and am wondering if that's even possible?? If so it's going back to the bodyshop! [sm=headbang.gif]

You can burn through paint with a buffer by not moving it enough, using too high of a speed setting, or just bumping a body line too much
