I am thinking about buying a gt hood off this guy for 75 bucks. It has some minor damage on the corners near the windshield due to improper storage and it has holes left from the hood scoop. Even tho the hood has holes left from the old scoop, can i still put a hood scoop on it and drill the holes in between the existing holes? or do i have to fill the holes, or can i not even use the hood? please let me know thanks..

 

GT hood = V6 hood with scoop. Just put a scoop on your hood.

No thats the one i have, i cant put a sccop on mine. he has the gt hood but he took the scoop off and sold it seperatley can i put another one on even tho thier are holes left from the other scoop?

 

So he's got that 99 cobra hood. Getting his hood saves you the trouble of drilling your own holes but you'll still need to get it all painted and honestly, I don't think the GT hood is worth the cost of painting. There are some great aftermarket hoods out there.

 

Yeah thats the thing. I can get the hood for 50 bucks, then i have to buy the hood scoop, and i can get it painted for free so thats the thing. Do you have a pic of the cobra hood?

 

the 04 V6 hood IS the 99 cobra hood. 03 and 04 cobras have two reverse vents, 99 and 01 cobras have the single reverse vent (same as 03,04 V6). the 00 cobra, however, has the hottest hood of all.

 

yeah i think im gonna just stick with my hood the more i look at it the more i like it, ive seen a few roush's with my hood as well, so ill concentrate on the Roush spoiler now!

 

How about a cowl hood? Or maybe a cobra R hood? They both look good.

 

hmmm.... maybe, im gonna have to hold off cuz i just bought a saleen S351 spoiler off this guy for 100 bucks, but its black....[:@] so ill have to get it repainted, so it shouldnt be on for a while till more funds come in....
