Default Water softeners

So ever since I took ownership of my car I've been washing it in my garage. Since I live in a complex with a small shared underground garage, I was forced to use no-rinse car wash. I love that stuff, but if my car is really dirty then it's really time consuming to constantly wash the mitt.

But now I have access to a fauset with a hose. I want to give me car a quick rinse down to remove all the excess dirt/dust before I take it into my garage for a no-rinse wash. I am pretty extreme and go to the grocery store to buy distilled water before washing my car. I know I can get something as a water softener to connect the hose to before I rinse my car down but I don't know too much about them.

I see this set selling on autogeek.net and it seems like a good deal. Does anyone know what my other options are?

Thanks,
Brandon

Yep, it will be your best friend. Everytime I've washed my car I've used 4 gallons of distilled water I buy from the store. 2 for the soap and 2 for the rinse bucket. If you have a hose and everything then you mightaswell get something like whats in that link above.

I usually keep all my microfiber towls in a pull string garbage bag as soon as I take it out of the dryer so it stays as clean as possible until I take it out to use it.

get the kit.... I use it on my DD but not on the stang.... actually I have never washed the stang to this date and I bought it new from the factory in 06.....don't ask just throwing that out there..... you will not be disappointed! I would still recommend to never wash a car in direct sunlight regardless of the filter used for the water.... trust me...made my mistakes in the past and hope that others dont make the same ones.... LOl take care
