Anyone try that 3M Rubbing compound

Default Anyone try that 3M Rubbing compound

They have the 32oz bottle of the professional stuff at the store and was wondering if anyone has tryed it?

It says it's an aggressive cutting compound. Unless you are experienced with various buffing machines, I would avoid using it. Especially if you plan to apply this by hand. It will mar your paint more than you will be able to fix by hand with several different grades of polishes.

What are you attempting to do?

I have gotten pretty good using my pc from justin. All the polishes I have just dont have enough bite to them. There is still some swirls and such after all is said and done right now.

What polishes are you using?

It's not so much the polish, but the PC. The PC is not aggressive at all, it's a user-friendly almost fool proof buffing tool. It takes a lot of patience to remove deeper scratches and swirls. It works really good, it just takes a while.

I'm just curious to how you are using the PC, what speed setting? Make sure you are using 6 and working very very slow with overlapping passes horizontally, vertically and even criss-cross.
