Bought All of My Supplies Today!
Today I went over to this store called the Drivers Seat and picked up all of my car detailing equitment. My 2005 Mustang GT has a build week of July 25, so I decided to prepare for it. This is what I purchased:
-Pinnacle Souveran paste was
-DP (detailers pride) body wash
-DP spray wax
-DP Clay Bar
-DP clay lubricant
-Zymol pre-wax
I also went over to costco and got 20 microfiber towels for 7 bucks or somthing. If any one has any experiece or comments on my selection I would like to hear your oppinions. Ohhhh yeah, I will post picture when I get the car!!

I got the same microfibers. Gotta love those things. But spary wax sucks, and why do you need a clay bar on a new car? Try mothers waxes and polishes. I use them and would not use anything else.
First of all spray wax dosn't suck at all for quick touch ups when the car is already waxed. I am clay baring my new car b/c it is going ti have stuff on it from the railroad, known as rail dust, that I don't want to seal under the wax. Most importantly, It makes me feel good to have my car really clean and nice. Any one else have any other experience with these products?
Using a clay bar for that is useless. Just give the car a good wash. Then wax with hand wax. And whatever you say about spray wax I happen to have a black on black mustang and spray wax makes it worse.
I use the spray wax to touch up spots that I have to use rubbing compound or bug-gone on, as those take off any wax. I use Maguires Final Inspection (spray shine & wipe product) for last minute touch ups once I park at a show. Its not a wax, but more like a windex for paint.
Whatever WAX you choose - make sure you are parked in the shade, or a cool (possibly even air-conditioned) garage. Don't try to wax your car in HIGH humidity - you won't like the experience of taking it off [:@]
