My paint is falling off
I was recently given a 94 v6 convertable. The only problem is that the paint has started to come off both doors. I want to get it repainted but here are my concerns.
1. my budget is going to be small.....where should I go to get my car painted. Is it wise to place a classified or is it better to go to maaco? Is maaco any good?
2. I want to paint my car a different color, Black or Blue.......good idea or bad?
3. I won't have the money for 1-3 months but the paint is chiping off quickly, making it embarasing to drive......is there something I can use to seal it for now so the chiping doesn't continue?
Thanks

The gaps on your door are extremely huge, I bet I could take a guess as to why it's flaking off....
Anyways, a color change done properly will cost more than $2,500. That includes painting the engine pay, door jambs, couple inches into the interior, the trunk....
The best thing you can do is put some primer and matching white paint on the flaking spots or spray it with some sealer and save up for some paintt. If you keep it the same color, a paint job should be anywhere from $1,000-$2,000 without figuring how much filler the body needs.

white is the cheapest color to paint as well because it does not show all of the imperfections that a dark color like black or blue does.
was that car wrecked?
was that car wrecked?
