painted calipers
i just painted my calipers yesterday. it wasnt hard, just very time consuming. while i had the wheels off, i completely polised my rims inside and out, and i went ahead and painted my fenderwells black again too since they were turning grey.it was definatley an all day project, because it takes at least an hour for each caliper, between cleaning, masking off, and painting it. i used the $15 duplicolor kit for mine and i still have over half the can of paint left, and i put it on thick. i think alot of the time came from it being so cold, so i was moving slow, it was 77 and sunny here friday and now it is 22 and cloudy.

the only thing i took off was the wheel. i just taped everything else off. i bought some paint that was supposed to be a rust preventative or something and just taped the edges of my fenders and sprayed the inside. nothing too special.
Looks great man! I did mine a couple weeks ago. Same way, only I did the calipers in BBQ black. $8.00 total cost. Taped nothing and after drying I drove the car and braked a few times. It's amazing how painting brake parts and wheel wells will clean up the look of a car. Good job. I'll post a pic of mine when it gets warm enough to get it out and take pics. BRRRRRR!
