Magnaflow or flowmasters
Flowmasters have the "old-fashioned" Muscle car sound . Magnaflows are are still nice and deep, but are a little snarlier with some backpressure "pops" when you get off the gas. Flowmasters (as with any chambered muffler) develop a drone at about 2000rpm that can be annoying to some people. I don't mind it in my car, but some people do. Most of the time Magnaflows are a little more expensive.
Personally I like the sound of my Fowmasters, but it's all personal choice.
Try going to www.mustangexhaust.com, if you "register" on the site you can listen to recordings of various exhaust setups.

I just installed Flowmaster Super 40s on my 99 Cobra and I love them.. I just about get a woodie when I hear that low drone @ 2000k RPM..
Something about sitting in 4th gear and hoovering at about 40 MPH and just listening to the car purrrrr like a kitten.. I love it.. Best thing is it sounds tough and your don't have to be getting on the gas.. Just going slow makes the car sound bad *** if you ask me..
Flowmaster FTW!
