Default No fill plug on diff?

I have got my mustang on jackstands about to change the diff fluid when i notice before i start anything that there is no fill plug?? It has a 93 cobra rear end on it if it makes any difference. So how do i fill it back up when i,m done? O and another question how much fluid needs to go back in? Thanks!!

Do the 93 Cobras have a soild rear axle? If so, the fill plug is on the front of the differential, driver's side. Right near where the driveshaft goes in. A 1/2 inch drive ratchet (no socket) will work to get it out, the plug is REALLY shallow though, and I busted my hands quite a few times.

About two and a half quarts will go in to a standard Ford 8.8" rear... so buy three quarts.

i heard that u could put like a plastic bag filled with the oil then just run the car with the bag in the diff. i saw/heard this somewhere, so dont blame me if your diffy locks up, the bag would probably disintegrate (sp?) anyways. Someone confirm this lol

That's how they lube the gearcases on locomotives. When they get low they throw in enough bags to fill it up.
It probably wouldn't hurt your car but since I've never seen it as a suggested technique I wouldn't even consider it.

JESUS! Just get a pump setup from the local parts store. And if needed, you can put a piece of fuel line on it to reach the hole.
