Default Mustang w/ problems starting and don't know why...

My brother's 1989 5.0 will not start. Everything was working okay until he put on BBK SSI-Series upper and lower intakes last week. He cranked it for awhile and flipped the distributor after backfiring and then he noticed there was gas in his oil. He took the intakes off and cleaned it up then put them back on and siliconed everything real good. It is still doing the same thing now and his plugs seem to be wet fouled. And yes, the distributor is putting out spark. Is gas getting in the oil from cranking it too much and it getting flooded? What do you guys think could be some of the most probable causes of this? All his vacuum lines and elec. connections seem to be in order.

Thanks.

the reason the plugs are wet is because he has flooded the engine.

check for spark and then check the distributor agian.
