RE: I Have A Power Problem I Need HELP
Ok, First how do you know the battery is not dead? The lights, radio, and other items will still work, if the battery has 12+ volts, but not have the Amps to crank over the engine. If the battery is good, my next guess would be the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. On the 88 mustang, I think it is located under the passenger seat. As far as losing power, then clearing up, I would check the fuel filter. When was the last time it was changed? I have heard of a clogged fuel filter, causing a fuel pump to burn up. If you replace the fuel pump, now would be a good time to upgrade the fuel pump. Let us know if this helped out any.
