We get these threads about flame trowers almost every month. I am on several car forums (Ls1 and mustang related, about 5 or 6 total) and this is the ONLY site that the members ask about this crap on. Is it an age thing? Do young people really think this is cool?

Could always do it the Cool Way and run a decent sized dry shot of nitrous.
When letting off at WOT around 6k a quick burst of flame may come out of my tails

I dont get the point of this "flame thrower exhaust" The ones that go on your back are 10x cooler,I mean you could go around melting people.

I saw it at at one of those car shows, like they have in the evenings at burger places, and w.e you know the drill... I asked the guys who owned the car, it was like Belair or something, really nice, and so I asked him, and he had a fuel line in the exhaust tip, and some sort of ignition device, might have been a spark plug, or maybe it was something like 2 wires cut in half and having the electricity jump the gap. That would work I'm sure. I doubt theres any kits. This is pure self-innovation.

You would only be using it momentarily...
there are kits out there....because when i was about 13...im only 17 now but still.....i did want those for my future car and so i was lookin around tryn to find stuff on em....you can find kits but i wouldnt put them on my car now...even if i thought it was safe.

i think they are cool. i like fire, i could care less if people think its rice, though id agree if that were the only "mod" then that would be kinda cheesey. i think for shows and lighting up tailgaters it would be real fun. id probably get bored with it after a short time though, and i really dont want to mess with fuel lines EVER again after my vortech install. theres a few kits out there, i wanted one a while back then the blower fever got me. good luck man
