Default Rims on a fox...

Yes, I'm a newby, and I DID look for this in back posts. My question is:
I'm about to change my 93 gt conv. to 5 lugs. Is it pretty much a given that 17x9 's with 245/45's will fit this car? The rims have a 5.9 in back spacing, and the tires are 25.68 in tall. The reason I'm concerned is because I suspect (not sure ) that the car may have been lowered. Would you think this would still be the size to use?

thanks
dlucas

without know for sure...it would be close ...lucky thing is the 93 have a lil bigger opening than the 90 or orlder..6" backspace is perfect for the rear. but I would measure for the front to be sure

i run 245/45/17's on my fox now
you're going to want 8" wides on the front so you dont rub

but it does look very good with those tires on my car
not to mention the fact i love my rims for it too

Edit: nice clean fox you got there too

Thanks, you too! After much discussion, a local Mustang guru has me convinced to try 4 17x9's, just with 235/45's in front, and 245's in back. Hope he's right...

thanks,
dlucas

I don't know about height but for width the 245's in the rear will be fine. I've got 225's in the front on 16's and those rub just a tiny bit at the very extremes.

hate to tell you but rims are the metal things on the outside of a wooden wagon wheel!
real cars have wheels![sm=lol.gif] not rims!
