compression check?

RE: compression check?
Where all 4 cylinder at 30psi or just one of the cylinders. If it was only 1 this will also help you determine where to start looking. Also call the salvage yard you got it from and see if the warranty covers you taking it to a local shop that way you do not have to pull the engine again.

RE: compression check?
he said he had it running there,no knock,no smoke,nothing....said something was wrong with the install.....if something is wrong then theyd ship us another one but he said that with a 90 day warranty he wouldnt be lying to me to just ship me another motor, something was wrong with the installation and i told him abt the compression and having fire, fuel and he said it must be something w rong with the installation, like timing, and i told him timing was on,but we didnt replace the timing belt.......should i check the timing agin or go ahead and get that compressed air thing and see if air is leaking elsewhere ....

Those cars use a timing belt I believe. Make sure the belt hasn't broken or skipped a few teeth. Or...if it uses a timing chain, it may have been installed incorrectly, thus your timing is off. Take the cover off and check.

RE: compression check?
I don't see how you could screw up the compression with an install of the engine. something does not add up here. Did you have the throttle body wide open when you did your compression check?

RE: compression check?
The only thing I could think of is that with the install, as stated, if it is a timing belt or chain engine and you replaced either of these, you were a tooth off.
I agree with derf... take cover off and snoop around for any problems. If nothing is totally obvious go to an autoparts store and get the adapters... they will be in the tool area and you will need shop air
