Default Long tube headers

HELP!!! I have a 89 GT that I'm making a street/strip car out of. I have a 7qt canton t-style oil pan and long tube headers. The problem I have is the headers won't clear the sides of the pan so the headers won't seal to the heads. I don't want to take a hammer to the pan and I can't find any spacers for the headers. Anybody have a solution or a fix for this problem? The heads are AFR 205's

Thanks

Default RE: Long tube headers

Call Summit Racing, Jeg's, Hooker headers, etc for a set of "header flanges". these are usually available sepperately from most of the contacts i mentioned. You'll have to use longer header bolts & you might have to port match the purchased flange to match your existing header flange.... The flanges will give you about 3\8" per side; make sure to ask for ther "thick flanges"...
