Default A/C and Heating question

i'm getting pretty pissed off here, everytime i try to change a dash or i need to take the heater controls out or have to take the temp. cable out, it never works when i put it back in. the cable is really really stiff and wont move anymore. i have no idea why this is. the only thing i can think is i keep bending the wire inside the cable and i doesnt want to move anymore. this has happened to me at least 4 times. does anyone know what the problem may be? like i said, the cable will work fine before i take it off but right when i put it back it doesnt work.

Well those cables are routed a certain way... Are you putting them back in the same exact way you tke them out? there should be some sort of alignment pins that you attach the temp cable too the door shaft.

could be you're overtightening the brackets that hold them in place and squeezing the outer cover down until it pinches the interior cable and puts it in a bind. try loosening the brackets and see if this helps.
