I would have to agree, the goal for the intake is to make the air path as "free flowing" as possible. Any obstruction in the air path is bad, unless it has a blower attached, lol.

Now disregarding these electric supercharges, which are worth a good laugh the first time you see them listed somewhere, what about some of the spiraled throttle body spacers. I've seen them in some actual mustang parts cataloges, they're supposed to have the same effect but instead of having fins or something the inside of the spacer is almost rifled. I doubt it would really help anything but at least those couldn't hurt.

I think the key number in their claims is 0. If THEY thought it was worth a damn, a zero wouldn't be there. I'd say wait and save up for a good fenderwell intake (Ex. MAC or BBK).
i knew from when i read the 0-...part it would hafta be a rip. thanks guys it helps, but i have a cold air intake, can i still get a fenderwell intake? i thought they were the same thing. anyone know how to replace a rear mach 460 speaker? driver side to be exact.

Cold airs usually just put the filter near the fenderwell but still in the engine bay. The fenderwell ones put the filter inside the fender so it doesn't get any of the air from the engine bay. As for the mach 460 if you have a question about that post it in the 4.6 section and I'm sure my buddy, his name on here is casper98 something will respond in a day or two.

Fenderwell gets cleaner and colder air cause it's not from the engine bay. They are vauge terms, in some cases companies' cold air's are fenderwells and others have two different ones.

its weird, i ordered a cold air kit, but i think i got the fenderwell. my filter is installed in the fender, not in the engine bay. cuz it was a pain in the *** to put on the filter, just from putting my car on a jack. my kit was kinda crappy i guess cuz someone told me my filter wasnt too good. would getting a better filter be better for performance?
