Default o2 sensor question

hypothetically, if the o2 sensor is unable to screw in all the way, maybe an 8th of an inch from being flush with the bung, will this cause it to read weird?

what i mean is, if the o2 sensor isnt screwed down all the way could this cause that sensor to read lean?

damn then maybe my cats are shot cause its still stuttering like a bitch. there arent any leaks now and no vacuum leaks. i just never thought shot cats would cause it to run so bad.
