Default New Springs

I am looking at putting new Springs on my car, probably ford racing springs, and I was wondering if I need to change the stock shocks and struts?

do you need to? no.
should you? yes.
it will dramatically help with ride quality.
look to get new bushings, C&C plates (if drop is more then 1 inch or so).

The car has 50,000 or so Miles (81,000kms) and I was looking at the Ford C Springs or IMP DDs. The ford C springs say upto 1.25" but I think they are closer to 1" in the front and 3/4" out back.

you wont need anything else besides the springs....ie. no cc plates or struts or shocks

i would urge you to look at the eibach pro kit however, as i dont know if 3/4 of an inch
is worth the money.....you may not even notice that

I was reading about 1994 and 1995 mustang spring replacement not too long ago, but this may apply to your situation. BBK offers a kit with progressive springs, all four corners, they lower by 2 inches. The OE suspension bushings were replaced with polyurethane bushings to tighten the ride even more. These bushings fit the sway bar, strut mounts, and end links. A set of polyurethene offset steering rack bushings is also added to help raise the steering rack to compensate for the ride height created by the coil springs. By correcting the tie rod angles, bumpsteer is reduced or eliminated totally, critical for a car thats been lowered
See if BBK has a kit to meet your cars specs and needs.

well at 50k miles u might need to replace or struts and shocks soon anyway, i say go with a larger drop like around 1.5" and then just get some aftermarket struts when urs finally go... I'd also suggest getting CC plates with that drop but I'd just say screw it until you're ready for an alignment )
