Steeda Short Throw
Installed my Shifter all by myself! Wahoo! Can't wait to give it a go once I get my car up and running. Maybe I wont miss third as much anymore when racing(I HOPE!!)
Too bad I can't drive it at the moment tho, my distributor is out because the gear is getting changed (leaving it over night because they were busy)from steel to cast iron so I don't chew up my camshaft.
And my headers are partially off and so isn't some of the exhaust. Attempting to put on my LT Headers and Shorty H...
Also, I noticed the previous owner had Flowmaster Mufflers(not sure what exactly I'll try and see if it has numbers on it) on it... I'd like to get those changed, what would be good for the following setup:
BBK 1 3/4" Ceramic Coated Long Tube Headers
BBK 2.5" Shorty H-Pipe w/ High Flow Cats
I want to keep my tail pipes because I like the hidden look, and my back skirt comes down too far anyways.
I'm hearing Magnaflow is a great company for the money, I want sound and performance. What do they got for that?

I'm presuming you cam is steel as well.
the ford B303 cam is cast iron...
so i need the CAST IRON gear on there
says right here on the tag:
[ul][*] This distributor is equipped with a steel gear. It should be used only with a billet steel camshaft(roller tappet).[*] All cast iron camshafts (flat tappet) must use a cast iron gear. See MSD Catalog.[*] Bronze gears may be used with either a cast iron or billet steel camshaft. See MSD Catalog.

Maybe Im mistaken but I always thought that the 5.0 liter "H.O." came equiped with a roller cam from the factory. Anyone know for sure???
Then doesnt that mean he should use the steel gear insted of the cast one??? At least according to his post. Unless he stated it backwards he says roller tappet = steel and flat tappet = cast. If his car has a true roller motor in it he should use steel. Correct???
