Default iodine to unfreeze motor???

ive got a motor thats froze up and the old timers say go to drug store and get some iodine and put in cylinders and it will dissolve any rust on walls and rings, and even put spring back into a ring. ok wwent to drug store they say cant get it anymore because of the meth thing. the drugist said maybe oxicalic acid but he wasnt sure. any ideas out there? thanks jack

marvel mystery oil works great try some of it and let it sit in the cylinders

umm, i do believe vet/animal stores can get it.
i know my dad used to use it all the time on the farm.
