the newer verts you can't tell the difference other then the wieght... They are not colder in the winter.. nor louder. I cant tell the difference unless i put the top down, It doesn't rattle like older verts they are very solid and sound... less area to wax..

You can compare rollover data but the odds of a rollover aren't that high anyway. These cars are very heavy and it would take a little more then a normal rollover condition to upset it. Read the crash test results. Verts all the way!

Yeah I admit I was a bit concerned about stuff like rollover safety, top maintenance, vandalism concerns, when I bought the vert. But, screw all that. Verts are too much fun to pass up Seriously. the crash test data shows that yes perhaps in the extremely rare case you actually manage to roll the car, & the top is down, then you're gonna be french kissing pavement [:'(] But the C pillars are really strong and will NOT collapse, thus providing a rollbar protection to the occupants.

And yea I would LOVE it if Ford designed a retractable hardtop for the Stang, but not for reasons of rollover safety. Just seems like a cool concept lol. I had a couple Jeep Yj's before this car that had both softtop/hardtop, and right in the manual it says do NOT expect the hardtop to protect you during a rollover. And the Jeep is WAAAAAYY more likely to top over than a Stang becuase of higher center of gravity. Was I worried? Nahh,.. Have I ever rolled a car? Oh yea I barrel rolled a car during highschool years while going about 60-70 mph. It wasn't fun, but the view out the windshield was awesome lol

That is true, but it's not that bad, still better than an 05/06 with louvers on the side windows.
I was replying to Ardollar sying Verts have horrible blindspots. I think if you roll your car over you are going to have issues regardless if it is a coupe or vert. My top was replaced right before I bought it with an upgraded top, the inside looks like a coupe. No wind issues. I have cloth because I hate leather, but my friend has a truck with grey leather and that crap gets too hot too touch so I don't really see your point. I didn't want a vert, my wife talked me into it and I'm glad she did.

i wouldn't consider 200-300 pounds heavy. unless your on the dragstrip doing 10's professionally. who cares about a couple of pounds when verts throughout auto history have been saught after the most. nothing like cruising around on a hot, sunny day with that top down unless you like being stuck in a stuffy little cabin.
