Power seat wiring

Power seat wiring
I have a `98 with a 4-way power seat that went bad. I found a 6-way base w/wiring harness and switches from a 2001 and so far unable to figure out how to wire it. The 6-way harness has 3 plugs not connected to anything, besides all the plugs that are connected to the motors and switches. I'm not sure if some of them extra plugs go to other options (like lumbar) or what. One of the plugs on the new 6-way has 4 wires: a small (gauge) green, a small black, a larger green and a larger black. I'm thinking that maybe this is my + and -, but I'm not sure. Why 2 of each color in different gauges? I'd hate to just start trial and error, because the error part could ruin something. Any guidance getting this figured out would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Power seat wiring
Even though the seats harness are different, they still use 1 power and 1 ground for the seat. The harness in the seat branches out to work the different features of thqat particular seat. The larger green and black wires should be your power and grond. Hook those up and everything else should work. I have 2 stangs (foxes) w/ 2000 and 2003 seats and those were the only wires I needed to use.
