Boggs Chuggs after 50-90 miles of driving
My 88 GT dies after it runs for a period of time. The temp guage stays in normal range but after 50 miles or so it begins to act funny. It seems it doesn't want to shift properly (it is an automatic) and chuggs when it should be shifting. Ultimately it will die when coasting or coming to a stop. I just failed an emissions test which stated I have too much unburned fumes in the exhaust. Emissions pointed out EGR valve, or air intake / sensor, or cat converter. Is the shifting related to the exhaust problem? Any suggestions??

Hey I had a 88 that did that when the cat converter was clogged after I drove it for a while I could look under the car and the converter was glowing red, After what mine did I would say it is the converter mine was fine after I replaced it.
