Default 2002 mustang 3rd gear sticking...

Hey guys,
I'm Mike, and I just bought a 2002 mustang. It has 16k miles on it, and it's manual. Well, I also have a problem with the mustang I just bought []. If you leave it in 3rd gear too long, it just sticks, and you cannot get it out until you let it settle down.. Does anybody know what could be causing this problem? I'm going to the Ford dealer May 11th, but in the mean time, does anybody know the best way around this problem? I just been going from 2nd gear to 4th gear. Thanks guys, I been looking around and havent found alot of people with this problem..

Yeah, if I had to pay for this, I would be pissed [:@]

Do you think that it would be wise to purchase an extended warranty on this vehicle? It's like 300 dollars for a 5 year warranty, and I'm just thinking, if the transmission is allllll f-ed up now... after 30,000 miles im screwed
