Uh....they don't call the engines what they aren't....

As of right now, like what's in the durango and stuff is what I'm talking about. If they're still coming out with a big block in something that's awsome.
Lokks that way!

The word hemi just refers to the engine design, what we've been saying is that when you talk about a hemi you're usually refering to the 426, that's why it's kinda hype cause they don't tell you what size it is, they're just hoping people will make the connection to the old ones.

Well, the word "Hemi" refers to the design of the HEADS not the engine. Considering we don't measure engine size in CID anymore, they refer to it as a "_._ L" Hemi. You can get the same car without the Hemi, but the displacement isn't as large.

Yea, know it's the heads just being broad. The displacement of the heads is bigger cause the combustion chamber is rounded, hence the name hemi as in hemispherical.

Dodge said that some of their trucks were hemi's but the vehicles didn't have hemisphere heads.

they don't have them cause they said that? The shape is inside in the combustion chamber.

I know where the shape is. I'm saying that Dodge advertised one of their engines what it wasnt. The 4.7 Hemi is not a hemi.

that's just what I was asking, that's weird. The only ones I've seen are for the ones in the durango and ram, the 5.7 I think.
