Not a Hemi? Um last time I checked it was.

 

Mabey the last time you checked, the car had wrong heads on it. It does not have a hemisphereicle head. It is pentagon shaped. Mabey you should go buy one of the heads & have a look for yourself

 

well it's because old goats like me and RD grew up around the hemi and the car that have the so called hemi is a marketing tool to get us old goats to the showroom..granted they run ok but just don't do hemi justice as you'll note all the car company are badging thier cars after old car of the 50,60,70's ..
dodge seems to be at the fore front..they have the fastest truck,one of the fastest sedans and one of the quickest 4 bangers
....chevy has giving up and is trying the old looks good appeal and ford is somewhere in the middle lost for direction...car makers going with bigger engine and horsepower ford goes backwards with smaller...[] I would never buy a 281 cu in engine..I would just buy a commy 4 sedan with plenty of room as the max. and put 1k in the engine...sad but true...ford better get some NEW ideas as why would someone what a new stang other than just don't want a ricer..not because it fast or even a threat anymore when 4 banger are busting it's ***..me I'm tried of it from ford...maybe if we refused to put up with thier it's enough hp 'tude and just hang on to what we got or go to another car maker maybe they get the hint....[:@]

 

rom what i have heard the heads are very similar to the ones on the old 5.9. that was not a hemi so why is this one?

 

Im with you Vfast.. But if you can get alot of HP out of a small motor buy all means. But nothing is more sick then a 4cyl or 6cyl smoking a huge a V-8 .What they need is more engine options ,Example: Mustang needs to offer a 351W and 409 engine packages in GTs so if i want a brand new car i can order that motor . And maybe throw in a handling packages in differnt satges.I know you can delete some things but adding at Ford seems to be lost anymore. Some guys want the straight line racing and some others want the curves or even both. just an idea.Oh i think Dodge offers the engine deal with the hemi.

but why does it fall on us to build up the 281..helps us out ford,ateast make it even with other cars and we take it from there.....I'm not going to put 2-4k in a car I just paid 25 for to make it just as fast as a 20-21k car....

 

THis is what ford needs to do:

Cobra: 5.4L TT
GT: 4.6L S/Ced
V6: Pinto....

A factory TT Mustang would be ungodly... Say goodbye to uh...... everything except TT vettes.

none of the late modle dodge production autos have hemispherical heads on them nor are the blocks casted after the old ones, but dodge ownes the rights to hemi so they can use the name as they see fit, that is really to bad becuase the hemi name is a ledgen in motor sports.

 

ford needs a modular 351 with a blower. that would be the ****. or they can get some cajones and build the Boss 351 v10 and add two turbos. that would be sick, even without the turbos
