As everyone else has said, go with the 5.0. Its a much better foundation for mods than a 4.6 . I have a 94GT and Ive heard the worst things said about my heads, so go with aftermarket ones aluminum. My 302 however has reached passed the 150K mile mark.. its still running smooth, but this summer im swapping a 351W. The 351W has the same bolt pattern for most of the parts on the 94/95GT already. So im expecting about 650HP when im done with it. I have the procharger pushing 11PSI of boost on the 302 already, and it cost me $2000. To add everything up it will cost me $3000 to go from 300HP to 650HP. All about research

Like I said, Im not as much interested in Modding the car, I may not even mod anything at all...So im looking for the car thats better completely stock, not which one has the potential to be better.

i'd say to go with the 5.0 but im a fox body fan myself i do know that there is a huge huge huge market for aftermarket parts except witht he 94 and 95 your need to spend a little mor ewhen it comes to intakes and sych because you ned that elbow for the throttle body

Theirs no replacement for displacement. Especially cheaper displacement.

If you're looking for a good reliable car you'll get a much better fox for your money then you'll find a newer one.

and imo i think the fox bodies turn more heads, especially with a nice exhaust system. i think it takes alot to make a 94-98 turn heads.

I would go with the 5.0. down the road those things are going to be harder and harder to find because the were only made for two years and you said you wanted to keep it basically stock so it will be harder to find stock in good condition.Like I said earlier I like the 4.6 but 96 to 98 is not the year to get. If I was going to buy a 4.6 it would be a 00 or newer. Just like valdosta said with that year 4.6 you would be starting at a huge disadvantage. Plus you say you want to keep it stock now.............wait till you get it and then tell us if you still want to keep it stock.....speed and the quest to go faster is very addictive!!!!!!! I said the same thing when I got my 5.0. Good luck hunting

Eh, the 94/95's aren't gonna start going up in value for a good long time. The foxes aren't even going up yet.

Good for holding value though.
