Hissing after shutoff
Just like the title says. I replaced my upper radiator hose (it was cracking) and thought that would solve the problem, but it didn't. I can't tell where it's coming from, but it def. sounds like left side of the engine. Lower radiator hose? Intake manifold? I hope it's the intake manifold...Livernois motorsports would be getting a call from me!
Whaddya think it is? The lower radiator hose was good as of 1,500 miles ago (inspected)

RE: Hissing after shutoff
It's a '98Gt.... doesn't smell like anything, but I'd say it sounds like more of a pressure release than something burning.... I think I might just take it in and have a mechanic look at it.

If it's a little pressure leak could be just about anywhere. If it doesn't do it long enough to find it you might just wanna take it in. Does it do it while it's running too? If it does you could check around for it.

RE: Hissing after shutoff
It's not loud enough or doesn't do it when it's running... Even standing next to the engine you can't hear it over the belt/pulley squeak/squeel and exhaust...
Taking it in to the shop this Thursday...also know as tomorrow
