Default Hissing after shutoff

Just like the title says. I replaced my upper radiator hose (it was cracking) and thought that would solve the problem, but it didn't. I can't tell where it's coming from, but it def. sounds like left side of the engine. Lower radiator hose? Intake manifold? I hope it's the intake manifold...Livernois motorsports would be getting a call from me!

Whaddya think it is? The lower radiator hose was good as of 1,500 miles ago (inspected)

Your radiator will make a hissing noise if its getting too hot.... is it oming from the rad cap? Could be lower rad hose, check the clamps to see if there coming lose.....

It even does it after short trips and the temp gauge never goes past half way. I'll go check the clamps this evening

What year car? R u losing coolant? Maybe A/C dripping on your manifold/headers. Do you smell anything? Coolant smells like rotten eggs when it burns.

It's a '98Gt.... doesn't smell like anything, but I'd say it sounds like more of a pressure release than something burning.... I think I might just take it in and have a mechanic look at it.

If it's a little pressure leak could be just about anywhere. If it doesn't do it long enough to find it you might just wanna take it in. Does it do it while it's running too? If it does you could check around for it.

It's not loud enough or doesn't do it when it's running... Even standing next to the engine you can't hear it over the belt/pulley squeak/squeel and exhaust...

Taking it in to the shop this Thursday...also know as tomorrow

Probably a good idea, just get it taken care of, hope they find it quick though so you don't get screwed on labor.
