1967 Fastback Tranny Swap
I am looking to purchase a 1967 Fastback and the majority of the ones im seeing have the C-4 Automatic transmission. Does anyone know of a company that makes a kit to swap out that transmission(The auto tranny for a manual tranny)? Also would it be a pain to do it or should it be relativly easy? The engine size i will probably get would be the 289 im not looking to do any major work on it for a year or 2, just want to enjoy it stock.

There used to be some available but I am not sure at the moment who they were. You would also need a new drive shaft for the standard as the inside spline of the front of the shaft is usually a different diameter than an automatic. At least the front snoot (or whatever they call it) that attaches directly to the gear at the end of your tranny. Chances are your stock shaft will not marry up to the new stick tranny.

be patient and collect parts, be sure to get a clutch pedal and the bracketry...67 and 68 is different. We swapped in a Tremmic into my bro's ex-67 fastback, and we used a hydrolic clutch and a scatter sheild. There are so many options. Dark Horse Performance has a few kits...
