Default Torque Converter

I know I'm not in a stang, but can any of you Auto guys shed any light on the Torque Converter upgrade? I'm looking at getting a new 3200, and have heard nothing but the highest of praise for them in the LS1 world. Any thoughs from the Pony world? Anything would be helpful. .... LOL well, ALMOST anything would be helpful. (For you smart alec's out there)

A looser converter on the street may not be your best choice. they generate more internal tranny heat due to the extra slippage and you will definitely need an aftermarket tranny cooler if you go with the higher stall converter in order to keep your tranny cool enough to survive.

roundman's right, stall converters generate tons of heat especially 3K and higher which may be too much for your car. Probably will rob you of low end torque because it may be out of your power range. Good luck.

My 3000 stall created tons of tranny heat, and was only used for the street, not recommended... With street use and no cooler I blew 3rd and 4th... Clutches and rings go bad quick...

With just the mods you have listed there in your sig 3200 is a little high...
If you want more info get ahold of the guys at edgeracing.com
At there site they give a number and you can call the guys there and tell them what you have and want and they will give you specifics..... I'm not sure if they deal with F bodies or not but worth a try

Get with a transmission or tuning shop. From what I've read, you can't just arbitrarily pick a stall converter. 3200 may be too high for you. The limit should be matched to your car's power curve. Not someone else's power curve.
